About Us

The Thrift Farm herd of reindeer was first established way back in 2010 – and our herd live with us and all of the animals on our farm on the Essex/Suffolk border all year round – they are not just for Christmas!.

Our reindeer enjoy access to their own pasture and stabling all year round and are looked after to the highest welfare standards, meaning that they are happy and relaxed and used to meeting the public when they commence ‘duties’ for the Festive Season. We have a happy healthy breeding herd.

As well as all of the work they have undertaken over the past few years, our Reindeer have appeared live on Blue Peter and the One Show (last outside broadcast from the old Television Centre at Shepherd’s Bush), they starred in Jamie’s Christmas Special, Sainsbury’s ‘My Perfect Christmas’ Commercial and even a McFly video as well as the Michael MacIntyre Christmas Special, as well as the 2016 Christmas commercials for both Cadburys and Not On the High Street. Recent TV/Media work includes Cbeebies, Tatler Magazine as well as Channel 4 and BMW
